Event description
After the 1st edition with more than 300 participants & 26 different countries, the Ultra Trail d'Angkor is back for its 2nd Edition, on Friday, 20th January, 2017 from 10:00 pm for the warriors who will run the Great UTA 128 km and on Saturday, 21st January 2017 from 5:00 am for the other categories.
The race is qualifiying for UTMB:
UTA 128km : 5 points
TA 64km : 3 points
TA 32km : 1 point
This year, we have planned an exceptional new track, the Temple Run or Nordic Walk 16km, to allow everybody to participate.
Unlike any other Angkor marathons, the Ultra Trail d'Angkor has spent long hours during many weeks of GPS search on site to ensure that runners will not race on the mainstream of wide concrete roads that they usually do with their tuk-tuk guides.
For sure, this event is an unique opportunity to discover the culture and diversity of Angkor by combining it with running or nordic walking, passing through the Cambodian tracks and crossing amidst numerous temples sites (touristic and including many others still unknown sites) and evolving around impressive landscapes over a vast area where rice fields, jungles, villages offer panoramas of surprising diversity.
