Event description
Returning for the Second year, the DXB 24 hour Walkathon will start Thursday 23rd November 2017 7.30 am and finish 24 hours later on Friday 24th at 7.30am on the Jumeirah beach behind Sunset Mall .
The Walkathon is open for teams only of 20 ,divided into 4 groups of 5 walkers each, led by a Captain and the route will be a circular loop of 25 km starting and finishing at the Sunset Mall and including Beach Walking paths and the Iconic Dubai Canal.
Each group of 5 walkers will be flagged off at set times;
a) Group A at 07.30 a.m. Thursday 23rd
b) Group B at 13.30 hours Thursday 23rd
c) Group C at 19.30 hours Thursday 23rd
d) Group D at 01.30 hours Friday 24th
Each Group has a maximum of 6 hours to finish their loop with food and rest stations every 5 km .This is a timed event and each participant will be provided with a chip to wear on their wrist and each Captain of each team is responsible for;
a) Obtaining the appropriate signature of EVERY Team Member on the Waiver Release form and submitting to the organizers prior to the start of the walk.
b) Responsible for collecting and returning the Chips & Numbers for each Team prior to starting the walk.
This is A PARTICIPATION Event and all will receive medals but all walkers must be in good health and physically fit to participate in the Walk.
