Cancer

Event description

CycleAgainstCancer 2026 – “21 Days, 1 Mission”. Riding with Purpose ahead of the Peloton.

What began in 2022 as a personal journey through cancer has grown into a powerful movement. Cycle Against Cancer, launched by Guido De Wilde was born from determination, gratitude, and the belief that resilience can truly move mountains. That year, riding from Brussels to Bergamo across Belgium, France, Switzerland, and Italy, over USD 101,000 was raised for Al Jalila Foundation – fueling vital cancer research and care.

In 2026, the mission accelerates. Building a team of ten committed riders who together will take on one of the most iconic and gruelling cycling challenges in the world: the full route of the Tour de France, one day ahead of the professionals. Stage by stage, climb by climb, the team will pedal not just for the finish line in Paris, but for a future where cancer no longer writes the final chapter for millions of lives. Hence, every participant is expected to actively raise funds with a target minimum amount of AED 40K per person.

Cancer does not discriminate. It strikes the young and the old, the rich and the poor, touching every family and every community. Its numbers continue to rise, making the call for greater research, improved treatment, and equitable access louder than ever. That is why CycleAgainstCancer 2026 will raise critical funds for Al Jalila Foundation in Dubai, supporting their tireless work in cancer research, treatment, and providing care for the vulnerable fighting this disease.

This journey is more than a physical challenge; it is a message to every cancer patient and survivor: you are not alone. It is a tribute to courage, to hope, and to the unwavering human spirit. As we take on the mountains of France, we ride for those climbing even steeper mountains in hospitals around the world.

Join us, support us, and ride with us in spirit. Together, we can turn each kilometer into a step toward a cancer-free future.

If you wish to participate in this challenge, which begins in Barcelona on Friday, July 3, 2026, and concludes on the Champs-Élysées in Paris on Saturday, July 25, please register with an Expression of Interest…
