History
Once upon a time, a group of ex sportsmen all moved to Dubai and became friends.
The youngest, a hurler from Ireland, planned ahead for a marathon and trained and trained.
Whilst some had completed the marathon before, this made the group feel old and lazy. English, Welsh, French; rugby players and cycling enthusiasts, but not a single athlete. They decided to train together for the RAK half marathon.
But this was only the start, from there the challenge grew, until it became... #JourneyOfStupidity
Whilst these steps are planned, most of us may not complete the challenge.... but we will try anyway!
As we 'enjoy' the training together, we have found time for other events and made more friends who have taken up this challenge. (Oh, and we've been known to celebrate the effort after each event!)
