Event description
The CycleAgainstCancer Ramadan Ride marks the official opening of donations for CycleAgainstCancer (CaC).
This ride forms part of the wider CaC challenge. A 3,300-kilometre charitable endurance cycling expedition from Barcelona to Paris, beginning on 1 July 2026. The initiative will bring together 14 riders for a three-week journey across Spain and France. The team will be riding from city to city on public roads while managing the physical, logistical, and mental demands of sustained long-distance cycling. The challenge is raising awareness and vital funds to support Al Jalila Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Dubai Health.
The CaC mission is brought to life locally by Carolina Karlsson, ultra-endurance cyclist and CaC rider, who is leading this community kickoff ride to unite cyclists around a shared purpose: We ride for those who can’t.
Join us for a meaningful endurance challenge at Nad Al Sheba Cycling Track. Riders can choose 9 loops (82 km) or 22 loops (201 km), with 22 loops chosen as a symbolic warm-up for the 22 stages of the CycleAgainstCancer challenge.
About the ride:
Pace groups:
- Group 1 (201 km): 32–34 km/h - 2 stops (10min)
- Group 2 (101 km): 28–30 km/h - 1 stop (10min)
Participation:
The registration fees benefit Al Jalila Foundation to support cancer patients.
Meeting / Station point:
DEWA Building (next to the washrooms)
No one is expected to pace or do turns at the front, unless they want to. This ride is not about speed; it’s about community, purpose, and riding together for a cause bigger than ourselves.
Looking forward to seeing the community get together again!
CaC is a fully independent, privately organised charitable endurance initiative. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with any professional cycling race or trademark holder. Any references to publicly available routes are for descriptive purposes only.
