Event description
As part of Starwood's Road to awareness, the Sheraton Dubai Creek is organizing this year its second charity walk. This year's event "Starwood walks to Sharjah" will take place on December 5, 2015 and co-incide with the opening of the first Starwood property in Sharjah.
The event will stretch over 18 km and will be a charity walk (or run for those interested). The start will be from the Sheraton Dubai Creek passing through the old Dubai city arriving in Sheraton Sharjah.
Celebrating 20 years of partnership with UNICEF through Check out for Children, the Road to Awareness this year aims to raise USD 1,000,000 to help support UNICEF WASH projects across Africa and the Middle East and provide clean drinking water and proper sanitation facilities for children and families across the region.
Since 1995, Starwood have supported UNICEF projects in more than 40 countries across the world in areas of child survival, child protection, education and emergency relief.
