A 5KM Desert Dune Race Across the Sands in Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve
5KM Al Marmoom Dune Run for the community will take place Sunday 12th March 2023 at the spectacular Dunes Platform in Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve and will take runners across the desert over high sand dunes.
Al Marmoom Dune Run is organized as part of the Al Marmoom Ultramarathon series.
Al Marmoom Dune Run supports Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve’s environmental commitment as one of the world’s leading eco desert sports and tourism destinations and wildlife conservation preserves.
Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the top 3 rankings in each race category and all participants will receive finisher medals.

- Highlights
- The run route will take participants across and over a challenging desert terrain. Participants must follow the route as marked out by the organizers, passing at a maximum distance of 5 meters from the markers. Failing to do so may incur penalties. The course will be clearly marked approximately every 60 - 100 meters. The organizers will provide briefing outlining the route conditions and there will be constant monitoring of all the runners during the run. Any participant withdrawing from the race must notify a race official as soon as possible.
